Barvaux-sur-Ourthe is a village in the municipality of Durbuy in Wallonia, Belgium.

Mineralisation in Devonian schists.

Barvaux is better known by fossil hunters as huge amounts of fantastic Spirifer shells were found in the decomposing schist and came out loose. Many shells are just "stone-filled" but sometimes, when the animal was still inside, it was transformed into calcite and some small crystals can be observed.
Most collectors identify them as Spirifer Grabaui and others as Spirifer Verneuilli, but looking at the many forms and shapes, it's almost impossible that they are from only one specie.
The fossils are recovered on the heaps of rock that came out of the railway cut.

NOTE: The railway cut is prohibited for safety reasons and because some copper thieves stole the wire for train signalling.
Fines are huge, and the police confiscate your car and equipment!
