Drosgol mine is one of two known mines that produced manganese in the mid-Wales "orefield". With a recorded production of 40 tons of probable low grade ore. In the 1950's the vein was investigated for it's manganese resurves. The mine developed the ore from a section of the Camdwr Vein on the eastern side of Drosgol Hill , a major ENE-WSW fault structure in mid-Wales .
