Volcan de l'Androy Complex, Madagascar
A Cretaceous volcanic complex, 4000km2 large in the southeastern part of Madagascar. It consist of a > 2000m thick sequence of basalt and phenocryst-poor rhyolite lavas.
Large volcanic complex consists predominantly of basalts and rhyolites with (according to Besairie 1957) late dikes of ankaratrite (nephelinite).
