Exposures of gabbroid rocks and non-nickeliferous sub-lateritic weathering crusts developed on them to the east of Punta Gorda (Moa municipality). The area is drained by the rivers Cayo Guam, Quesigua and Jiguan. The main exposures are located along the River Quesigua.
