This locality was originally limited to a very small outcrop of ophiolitic breccia (Dalrio, 1980) some 350 m south-east of the Molino della Pozza (β€œMill of the Pond”) near San Benedetto del Querceto. The search for minerals can be extended to small ophiolite boulders (including metabasalt) that occur in the same area, in the hillside and along the right bank of the Idice river.
