Large crystals of hyalin quartz in the area between the hamlet of Buonanotte (also known as Bonnenuit) and Colle della Vaccera are known for a long time. In more recent times, also small red-orange crystals of anatase have been found in assocation with quartz and adularia (Piccoli et al., 2007).
