A former surface gold mine located a few miles NE of Cave Creek. Owned by Dan Steele; and, the Stuart Gold Reef Mines, Inc., operator (1934).

Mineralization is a gently dipping vein in schist, East of a large stock of reddish granite. Ore is cellular, milky-white quartz with some black hematite.

Workings are open cuts.
