Deposit: Adits explore areas of concentration of narrow white quartz veins that locally contain 0.25 mm crystals of pyrite. Although the prospect is listed As a mercury claim by johnson (1977), panning of a large sample taken from various places in both dumps yielded abundant pyrite but no cinnabar. Perhaps the main metal being sought here was gold rather than mercury
