U-Cu-Au occurrences/group of claims located in the SW¼ sec. 2, T39N, R6E, G&SRM, 7.8 km (4.9 miles) W of Marble Canyon, 2 miles NW of the Vermillion Cliffs Lodge, in Upper Badger Canyon, on state owned land. Operated by Consumers Agency, Utah (1956). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 100 meters.

Mineralization is an U deposit hosted in Late Triassic siltstone of the Petrified Forest Member of the Chinle Formation. It occurs in the lower part of a 30 foot lens of grayish red siltstone near the top of the Petrified Forest Member. The ore occurs in lenses and pods with the body being 0.46 meter thick and 0.91 meter long, with trace amounts of Ca, Cu, S (pyrite). Au-bearing gravels underlay soil and cemented gravels at depths of 1 to 16 feet. The pay gravel is 1 to 6 feet thick. Ground values averaged $.85 to $5.10 Au per cubic yard (1910). The nearby Maricopa and Phoenix Mines have gold-quartz veins in altered Precambrian schist and may be the source of this Au. Betazippeite and metatorbernite occur as interstitial matter in lenticular pods paralleling bedding in the siltstone. Radiation level is 100x background. Local rocks include rocks of the Chinle Formation.

No production of ore grade U ore was reported. Production was 11 tons of ore @ O.OS% U3O8; 0.18% V2O5 (1957), from the Sam No. 7 claim. Production was also reported from the Au placer in 1932.
