A former lode Au-Ag-Mo mine located in the SE¼ (estimated, near sec. 31 line) sec. 36, T10N, R20E, MDM, 2.3 km (7,600 feet) W of Loope, along the East Fork Carson River, on the divide between Eagle Gulch and Monitor Creek, on National Forest land (½ mile NE of the junction of highway Y and highway 89). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
