A Au-Ag-Cu-Pb occurrence/prospect located in the SΒ½ (estimated) sec. 32, T10N, R21E and in sec. 5, T9N, R21E, MDM, 0.3 km (1,100 feet) SSE of Loope, on the S side of Monitor Creek (2 miles WNW of Heenan Lake), on National Forest land. Discovered around 1963. Operated in conjunction with the Zaca Mine for several years. An adit was driven with funding from the Office of Minerals Exploration during the 1960s. Subsequent activity unknown. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in Pliocene andesite. The ore is disseminated sulfides. The ore is highly altered, much of it being soft and clayey. Alteration is local (silicification). This deposit appears to be a SE extension of the same alteration zone that contains the Morning Star & Curtz Mines. More detailed geological work needs to be done to determine the major structures and their relationship to metal mineralization. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of several open cuts and a 150 foot long adit.

Samples found by Kyle Beucke consist of galena and lesser silver-rich tetrahedrite in altered rock that contains pyrite.

This prospect does not appear to have produced any ore.
