A former lode Au mine located in the NW¼ sec. 33, T4N, R13E, MDM, 0.7 km (0.5 mile) NW of Esmeralda (site), along San Antonio Creek, E of Wally Hill (summit) (1 mile SE of the Fricot Ranch School). Property is a patented claim. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10114264 presents file #10282667 as being pertinent to this locality as well. That file apparently has nothing to do with this locality.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist and slate. The ore body strikes W and dips 55N at a thickness of 1.22 meters. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada Foothills).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 91.44 meters and an overall depth of 30.48 meters, and comprised of a N crosscut adit and connecting 100 foot shaft.
