A former lode Au mine located in sec. 14, T4N, R13E, MDM, 0.9 km (0.6 mile) SW of Cave City site, on the divide between McKinney Creek and O'Neil Creek (2 miles NE of Fricot Ranch School) (located claim). Discovered in 1936. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10029170 presents MRDS file #10186964 as a related file; however, it is not related since it pertains to the local Mn deposit.

The ore body is a lens-shaped and dips 35 to 65SW. The vein is quartz within a diorite dike. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include unspecified surface openings.

Local geologic structures: Dike of medium-grained diorite along the footwall of the vein.

Analytical data results: The ore averaged $33 Au/ton (period values).
