A former lode Au mine located in the NE¼ sec. 19, and in the NW¼ sec. 20, T6N, R13E, MDM, 0.8 km (2,600 feet/0.5 mile) NE of Glencoe. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate, schist and diorite. The ore body strikes N and dips 60W. The San Bruno vein is 4 to 6 foot thick vein lies in slate & schist with diorite dikes. The Good Hope vein is 1 to 3 feet thick n mica schist and slate and strikes N. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a series of drift adits.
