Little Plains Quarry (Lottah Road Quarry; Fieldwicks Quarry; Weldborough Pass Quarry), Blue Tier district, Tasmania, Australia
This quarry, also known as Lottah Road Quarry, Fieldwicks Quarry or the Weldborough Pass Quarry, is an operating road metal quarry located in Tertiary basalt on Lottah Road near Weldborough Pass.
Known for particularly nice gmelinite, natrolite, thomsonite and analcime in vesicular basalt (possibly a plug or diatreme), and also anorthoclase-sanidine rich granulite and lherzolite/peridotite xenoliths in surrounding and overlying massive basalt.
