A former lode Au occurrence/mine located 1.1 km (0.7 mile; 3,500 feet) S of Yellow Mountain (coordinates of record), on the southern slope of the mountain (¾ mile E of Little Lily Lake), on National Forest land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

Mineralization is a vein deposit (Mineral occurrence model information: Model code: 151; USGS model code: 25d; Deposit model name: Epithermal vein, Sado; Mark3 model number: 28; USGS model may also be 25A: Hot-spring Au-Ag), hosted in rhyolite. The ore body strikes N80W and dips 60-70S at a thickness of 1.52 meters. The deposit is from 4 inches (10 cm) to 5 feet (1.52 meters) thick and consists of partially brecciated rhyolite. Throughout the vein is considerable iron-stained clay reported to be Au-bearing. The walls of the veins are stained with a heavy coat of limonite and some hematite. The wallrock for 2 feet (0.61 meter) on either side of the vein is low-grade ore. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 17 (Cascade Range).

Related tectonic structures include the Basin and Range province.

Workings include underground openings with a length of 195.07 meters and comprised of 3 adits driven on the vein. T^he No. 1 adit (lower) is 350 feet long. No. 2 adit (70 feet above No. 1 adit) is 200 feet long, and No. 3 adit (40 feet above No. 2 adit) is 90 feet long. Ore was stoped from No. 1 adit to No. 3 adit.

The production was not reported.
