A former Au mine located 3.5 km (2.2 miles) ESE of Deadwood and 4.9 km (3.0 miles) W of French Gulch, between Brunswick Ridge and French Creek (stream). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in rocks of the Bragdon Formation (siltstone and shale) and diorite and porphyry. The ore body is tabular, strikes N80E, and dips 45N at 0.3 meters thick. The ore is in small quartz lenses and in a vein between slate on the hanging wall and diorite porphyry on the footwall. Local rocks include carboniferous marine rocks, unit 4 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings consisting of 6 adits at 100 to 800 foot long, 1,500 feet of drifts, 200 feet of stopes, 150 feet of raises and several open cuts.

Production data are found in: Albers, J.P. (1965).
