Comments:Commonly found as thin coatings on feldspar frozen in the mineralogically complex zone, and rarely as crystalline aggregates in miarolitic cavities with elbaite. Most of the "lepidolite" (none have been analyzed) from here is likely schernikite.
Habit:Fibrous crystals with rhombic cross-section formed in parallel growths that resemble waxy columns.
Colour:Pale pink.
Quality for species:Good crystals or rich for species - important (!)
