Hi dear members,
We are members of this site and be virtual friends. We can find all kind of minerals and crystals and their properties here, but can’t find place of members .
For example if I want a crystal from a locality and search here , only find collectors that maybe be in many thousand km far .
Who agrees we have a part to find members by places?
Then request from administrator to Create this possibility,if possible!
Thanks,
H. Abbasi

Dear H. Abbasi, in reality it is a bit more complicated than that I'm afraid.
Just because a member resides in a specific region doesn't necessarily mean they know very much or take any interest at all in the geology/mineralogy of that region. I had in fact suggested many years ago that some kind of directory be created to offer everyone some idea who would among us would be an idea source to weigh in on queries or questions that arose in managing the database. A list that members could voluntarily sign up to indicate their personal expertise/knowledge, be it regional or mineral species/group specific, but was told that such a list could never properly be vetted, few would volunteer and that it would be altogether unmanageable.

I don't expect this, or anything like it, will ever be an option here.

I think it is a great idea and would like something like that very much, just to meet mineral collectors in my area would be great!
