This page controls the settings for display of mindat.org on your current device. Please note these settings are saved as cookies to this device, and are not associated with your account, so every user of mindat.org on this device will share (and can alter) these settings.

Photo Background Brightness
0 is black, 15 is white. You can also change this with < and > keys on any photo page.

Photo Info Box Template
The style of the infomation box on photo pages.

Android Rotation Bugfix
On some Android devices the image on 360 rotations may be squashed and duplicated horizontally. If your device shows this problem select this option depending on how many duplicates you see

Default Sort Order (Locality pages)
In the 'Specimen Photos' pages for the locality the default search order is usually 'Rating', but you can change it here.

Default Sort Order (Mineral pages)
In the 'Search Photos of ...' pages the default search order is usually 'Rating', but you can change it here.

Mouse Sensitivity for Spin
For 360 rotations this controls mouse sensitivity.

Columns for minerals list on locality pages
This option is ignored on tablet and smaller devices. Default is two.

Hide Camera Information
If you're not interested in the camera information on photo pages you can hide it:

Disable Threaded View
To disable threaded view in messageboard:

Hide API Key
If you don't want to see your API key on your home page (remember only YOU can see it) you can hide it by checking this box:
