Founded in 2002 by Ulymar F. Rocha - an engineer graduated at the Ouro Preto Mining University in Brazil, - StoneBridge has an excellent reputation for quality products at affordable prices. Stonebridge Imports Ltd. is wholesaler of Healing Crystals, gemstones, rough stones, mineral specimens and tumbled stones. We import from all over the world for collectors, lapidary and metaphysical market, Rocks, Mineral Specimens, Pendulums, Wands, Generators, Healing Tools, and Gemstones. Stonebridge offers a wide selection of sterling silver and gemstone jewellery for your store.

Stonebridge is also a major import of soapstone for carving, soapstone countertops and sinks. Decoration and home decor is also a major market for Stonebridge. Table tops, lamps, bookends, soap dishes and tableware are supplied. For gardening we offer Gem boulders in Calcite, Rose Quartz, Crystal and Sodalite.

Ulymar Rocha has been connected to rocks ever since he was a boy growing up in a gemstone mining area of Brazil. As a young man, Rocha studied mining engineering and then became a civil engineer. But his knowledge and passion for stones led him to a life as a gem dealer, a trade that financially supported him through university.

So when he immigrated to Canada and came to Waterloo Region in 2002 for a job, he continued dealing in gems. That's how Stonebridge Imports came to be and grew into a full-time business that employed his family.

Today, Stonebridge employs seven people, including Ulymar, his wife Luciana, who is co-owner of the business, and their son, Arthur. It is one of the largest wholesale gem and stone dealers in Ontario.

The business outgrew several locations and recently moved to a new 5,000-square-foot location at 396 Victoria St. N. in Kitchener. The move allowed Rocha to consolidate his retail office, which was in a residence on Bridgeport Avenue, and his warehouse, which was located on Lancaster Street.

In the new location, the retail business at the front sells finished and polished stones, sculpted stones, as well as raw minerals and stones of every colour and variety imaginable, from varieties of quartz and crystals to kyanite and ammolite fossil specimens.

From the warehouse at the back, the wholesale business ships natural and polished and sculpted gemstones, rocks, jewellery and minerals of every shape and size all over the world. Customers include collectors, artisans, energy healers, jewellers, parks and museums, lapidary shops, new age, jewelry and gift stores and landscaping businesses.
