The "anapaite" and "messelite" photos from this locality look pretty much the same. Are they really that similar here, or are some of the photos mis-attributed?

These two can look very similar to each other at this locality, and both can also occur in the same specimen.

Anapaite is more abundant [see Dietrich, R. (1978): Das Messelitproblem: Messelit und Anapait aus dem Ölschiefervorkommen bei Messel. Aufschluss 29, 229-33. (in German)]


One "messelite" I had bought as a student turned out to be collinsite.

Why is there no mention of messelite on the anapaite page? Since they are so close in characteristics I think a note is warranted. Something like "Can easily be confused with anapaite" What group does anapaite belong to? Thank you.
