The phase directly on the shale, earlier than the Wardite or Eosphorite, is < 1 mm isolated, colourless, striated prisms that look very similar to my Paravauxite and the Gordonite crystals from Utah. Is it possible that the Gordonite from Rapid Creek is colourless as well as yellow?

Yes, i've seen lots of colourless gordonite.

Richard, if you look at the mindat photo's of gordonite, you'll see a some nice colourless gordonite that I photographed.

Hi David:

Thanks for the information. I will have a look at the Gordonite photos.

Hi David;

The colourless Gordonite crystals look very similar to mine. Were they associated with Wardite?

27th Dec 2016 15:44 UTCDavid K. Joyce Expert

HI Richard, No, I think they were on mostly arrojadite. Some corroded lazulite present as well, seems to me. I don't have any, anymore to examine. Sorry!.

Looks like lots of phases hiding in the crevices at RC-BFR.

Yes, more to come, I think!
