PhotosGiuseppettite - Biachella Valley, Sacrofano, Sacrofano Caldera, Rome Province, Latium, Italy

The rhombododecahedric habit suggests it's sodalite instead.

Probably giuseppettite is somewhere else on the specimen. The hue is very similar but the latter are more often in anehdral xls and this is the reason why they can be mistaken if sodalite xls are not well developed.

Also marinellite and other light blue cancrinites are very similar. No need to say that only EDS + XRD can tell you what you have.

Hello Antonio, Hello Rob,

this specimen is not analysed, and i would agree that the Ident is questionable.

Was part of a mineral-exchange with Italian micromounters and was field collected by them.

Best regards

Elmar

Thanks Elmar, Would you please change it to sodalite and mention that it is not analysed in the caption? Thanks.
