Improving Mindat.orgHow to add photos to an article without uploading them

2nd Jun 2014 22:42 UTCJason Evans

Hello, I am writing an article about my recent collecting trip in Cornwall, there are photos I would like to add but dont want to upload them to Mindat, well, I dont mind uploading them but I dont know where to upload them to as they are not all mineral photos, some I could upload as locality photos I suppose . I'm not just doing an article and showing my holiday snaps though! the photo's I want to add do have geological aspect.

Also, how to I add captions in the photos?

Thanks

Jason

Well, they would have to be uploaded somewhere on the web, and it gives a lot better performance to be on the same server, and they should always be around and won't end up somewhere in the ether.

Photos could be uploaded to "other"/"personal" so you wouldn't need a location, o if they are from a specific locality they could be uploaded to "site" photos.
