Just a quick update on my earlier article about developments in Truro. If you missed the original post you can find it here

https://www.mindat.org/article.php/2532/Royal+Cornwall+Museum+-+your+help+required%21

I want to say a big "thank you" to everyone you has been in touch, and to everyone who has filled-in the online survey on the Royal Cornwall Museum website available here http://www.royalcornwallmuseum.org.uk/things-to-do/events/museum-survey

I have received an encouraging reply from Mr Ian Wall, the Director of the RCM, which states that "I’ll certainly ensure that the significance of the collection is highlighted within the design brief, when we get to that point",

There are still a few days remaining before the consultation / survey closes at the end of this month, so if you have not yet done so, please take a few moments to fill-in the online survey, and use the free-format spaces to highlight your support for the mineral collection and Rashleigh Gallery.

Whatever your particular ideas or viewpoint on the Gallery and the collection, the important thing is to get the message across that this is a World Class, heritage asset and visitor attraction, important for the science of mineralogy, and as an integral part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site http://www.cornish-mining.org.uk/world-heritage

Thanks again.

Thanks Becky, Les and Tim - that's great.

I've had other folks contact me directly too to say they are writing in and doing the survey.

Let's keep at it!

Cheers

Roy
