Construction has started on the U-Haul facility on the north side of the Hotel Tucson City Center (Zinn Suites) so that area will not be available for parking during the show this year...or probably ever.

This view is looking NW through the hotel gate that goes to St. Mary's Road.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Guess the other venues such as TNMS are going to do well!

Sounds like they better be securing a near by lot they can shuttle from.

17th Nov 2017 16:53 UTCvictor rzonca

To be sure, we were not caught unaware and satellite parking has been secured and shuttles will be running as usual. All parking around the Tucson City Center and Inn Suites is reserved for visitors and customers during show hours and off site parking for dealers during those hours. The round about traffic pattern will be in place but changes on the fly may have to happen, so, please have patience with us, we 'll do the best we can. Tucson has always been an adventure and I expect nothing but. Marty's shows have been a force in bringing you that adventure, so come and share it with us. Hundreds of dealers, as usual. With The Gallery, Fine Minerals International and the Granada Avenue show, steps away, there is a lot to be amazed with. Safe travels. Zinn Expos.

If they strictly enforce the no seller parking at the TCC there will be plenty of parking for buyers.

17th Nov 2017 22:21 UTCvictor rzonca

That has always been an issue, Alfredo, and the honor system worked poorly at best, so the regulation of dealer vehicles will be much more strict, a tow truck on premises is one possible visible reminder. We all want the public to enjoy the show, it is they we depend on. We can all work together.

17th Nov 2017 22:28 UTCJolyon Ralph Founder

There's an easy solution. A big sign on set-up day that says any vehicle parked here today that is seen on the open days will be towed.

Also will be a unpleasant wakeup call for those who try to buy on the setup days too :)

17th Nov 2017 22:38 UTCvictor rzonca

Possibly Jolyon, but for sure someone will park under that sign, with impunity. "That sign was for the fellow behind me.".

17th Nov 2017 23:09 UTCJolyon Ralph Founder

Well, even if it scares 20% of the dealers out of the car park it's a good thing

True that.
