This is what the material I analyzed looks like. Very similiar to the two photos posted.

Reiner, try to repeat analyzis from more compact and lustrous part of your specimen.

You also may to use simple test - put particle of your mineral into H2SO4. Limonite will be completely dissolved, while lombardoite will be preserved by barite crust forming over it.

I tested the most compact and lusterous piece I could find. However it is now being tested by the dealer.
