The specimen is from here : https://www.mindat.org/loc-2089.html and was purchased as Marsturite, trouble is it has no Na in it. Anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be? Thank You.

What mineral did you check - jrange or pink? Probably marsturite is pink one.

I had similar problem with "marsturite" from Spain - I checked 7 or 8 samples and nothing with exception of rhodonite.

Hello Pavel,

I checked the orange one, as that is what they said was marsturite. Do I understand you correctly that you think the orange is rhodonite and the pink marsturite?

At your spectrum I see rhodonite with admixture of V-bearing phase (orange coloration).

Nambulite has been confused with marsturite.

You will need XRD on phase-pure material.

Nambulite is not reported from that locality. I tend to agree with Pavel.
