Identity HelpClinoferrosilte from Yellowstone
18th Mar 2009 13:54 UTCDiether Gräf
the attached piece from the obsidian cliff at Yellowstone is strange to me, because there are sphaerolites (hollow) in an fine brown colour. Size is up to 5 mm. The obsidian is layered and some layers have the some colour as the small balls.
Do someone know the identity? Clinoferrosilite is known to me as colourless and not in balls.
Best regards
Diether
