It's in a metamorphic rock which also contains calcite and tremolite. It seems to be displaying parting but doesn't seem to have any cleavage. It is also very hard and leaves no streak.
Any help is appreciated. Some ideas we have had are apatite, epidote, tourmaline, corundum, but none of them seem to fit perfectly.
Thanks!

The close up is where the greenish crystals congregate.
Thanks!

What you have is a typical calcsilicate rock with brown garnet (grossularite-andradite series), appearently wollastonite (not tremolite in most cases) and the green one is diopside-hedenbergite (in most cases it's on the diopside side). I have lots of pieces with that paragenesis.
