Hi all,

Depending on the angle at which you view this specimen, the small transparent cubes appear either clear or a very pale blue. Are these flourite? The larger cubes are surrounded by a large number of very small clear cubes. Are these just mini flourite crystals or perhaps something else? Does the color, cube size or matrix provide any clues as to locality?

Thanks,

M.

Monica,

This does appear to be fluorite. Specimens like this could occur at a myriad of locales world-wide.

Likely fluorite, but check the hardness and cleavage.

As bob said, definitely Fluorite. Could be from anywhere.
