LocalitiesLašovice, Rakovník District, Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic

28th Jan 2021 10:43 UTCJakub Kristek

This article probably reffers to village Lašovice in South Bohemian region, uranium deposit with selenides. But this locality is widely known as a Předbořice deposit https://www.mindat.org/loc-771.html Uranium mine with selenides Is situated between village Předbořice and Lašovice. Lašovice in Rakovník district is just a village with same name.

Actually, what is the quarry just NW of Lašovice? (Currently missing on Mindat.)
Could the specimens have come from there?

31st Jul 2021 18:08 UTCJakub Kristek

All these specimens are from uranium mine No. 58 , located 1 km SE from Lašovice, 1,5 km W from Předbořice. Quarry near Lašovice is in geologically different area and what I no signs of hydrothermal veins with U-Se minerals were found there. Problem is that this uranium deposit was always called Předbořice although this territory belongs to Lašovice.
