Create an unknown species to a locality

Just updated the locality with all described PGM minerals, at least those that are known. Several were not further analysed but a Ni-Cu-Fe-Ir-Rh-sulfide is mentioned as unknown. Can someone add this species to the locality please, thanks.

Here is the online reference (see table at p.40):

I do wonder if there would be any mileage in Jolyon adding a couple of meta-minerals to the site - 'Unknown Phase #' and 'Unnamed Phase #' (where # is a sequence number for each unknown) or similar - which would act as placeholders for new minerals in a location - and where the supposed mineral details are only described locally (i.e. on the locality page).

These could be replaced by formal mineral species names and data (or discreditation) at a later date as new species/phases are dealt with by the IMA.

Great idea if this could be possible!

We already have it

At particular site (in this case mount st hilaire)
Unnamed (MSH UK-37A)

Brilliant. Now, how to add unnamed or uncertain minerals to the database .... hmmm ....

You have to ask a manager or another person who has editing status for the mineral database.
