GeneralSaving email and password when logging in

24th Jun 2018 15:25 UTCRolf Luetcke Expert

I have logged in a bit in the last days and notice that now there is the log in window and no place to "save password"? Something change??

It is not a big problem to put in the email and password every time but why was this option removed?

That is usually a function of the web browser that you use. It won't show up if you do save the email and password or tell it never to save for the site.

You can do a google search ie - chrome save password prompt

to get instructions as to how to do this (substitute your browser for chrome)

Will have to check David, I use outlook express and it used to be there but something changed and in the past it appeared when I put in the password/email on the log in page and it was right there. Will have to do a search and see if I can get this back.

Outlook Express is a discontinued email/news client that was used with Internet Explorer 3.0 through 6.0. Since IE is no longer supported through Mindat, so you'll likely have to change your browser for the save function to reappear.
