This was given to me. Going back to the store, they did not know any information on it. This is palm size. Reminds me of a Thunder egg from Oregon. Can someone identify it?

Probably a septarian nodule from the Orderville, Utah area.

I have seen these dark colored septarian nodules labeled as from Morocco.  My experience has been that the septarians from Orderville, Utah typically have a yellow colored Calcite in a light brown/beige colored matrix.

Agree with Kim---these are currently available by the thousands from Moroccan vendors at the major US shows.

Ah, not familiar with the Moroccan ones but makes sense. It's weird how the more common something is the less likely information about it would be given!
