How to Contributepersonal home page

30th Oct 2007 15:03 UTCJorge Santos Garcia OP

Hello

I'm a little bit lost, need some help.

I've asked permission to create my personal page, and received a message telling I had to post un article. I've wrote a little message and really appears something saying 'Jorge Santos Garcia Mindat Homepage'. I think it's ok, then.

But I can't understand how do I manage my page.

I've tried to upload a photo in the button 'add a new photo' im My Photos and nothing happens. It may be my fault - I didn't use the steps to upload photos as the manual say, but I though that through my page the process was different. I'm wrong?

i've tried to post a little article. I wrote it and click on 'submit'. Nothing happened except that I noticed that I was log out. But I should not be, as I've logged in, before I start writing. I couldn't see the way to keep un article private, before it's complete to be shown.

What have I done wrong?

On adding articles. You start by adding a new article and type in a title (and mineral or locality fields). Then you type in the article and hit the submit button. It will remain hidden until you go back to the Article page and under the Articles under construction area, click the "Publish this article" to make it visible to everyone.

To add a photo you need to go through the normal procedure to upload photos (mineral, site or other), then on your homepage or article you need to use the pic tag to place the photograph on your homepage or article.

Ok

I have spent so many time writing the first article, with a lunch hour in between, that it may have log out, or something. I've done what you said, wich is what I've done the first time and now it worked well. It stayed kept at my homepage, for future editing or publishing.

I will try to upload some photos later.

Thank you

jorge
