Abstract/NotesThe book examines the results of a structural study of hypergene manganese oxides using a complex of modern physical methods; the crystallochemical nature of a number of new and poorly studied minerals has been revealed; a crystal-chemical systematics of manganese oxides with tunnel structures is proposed, which makes it possible to predict the possibility of the existence of new minerals with similar structures in nature. The issues of mineralogy and genesis of manganese oxides in products of laterite weathering, Kerch ores, oceanic and lacustrine Fe-Mn crusts and nodules are considered.

Designed for lithologists, mineralogists, crystal chemists.
