| Abstract/Notes | The conditions for the formation of mica-bearing, rare-metal and crystal-bearing pegmatites, as well as pegmatoid rocks and pegmatites of alkaline massifs are considered taking into account the influence on the process of formation and mineral composition of pegmatites of the mineral formation environment (features of side and underlying rocks) and the tectonic factor. Considerable attention is paid to the processes of recrystallization and metasomatism, their role in the formation of both pegmatites in general and individual industrially valuable minerals of pegmatite veins. In a number of articles, the features of blasto- and metacrystals of pegmatite minerals are considered. The problem of industrial assessment of pegmatite deposits and directions of work in various pegmatite-bearing regions of the country are discussed. Questions of the history of the study of pegmatite deposits of the Soviet Union are touched upon.
