Original Entry | Jason B. Smith visual I.D To follow up on Jason, I (Steve Adams) obtained a micro of "elyite" in a slag vesicle from this mine with a few really tiny lavender hairs. This piece is now in the Kenny Gay collection. Both the visual I.D. and the geochemistry of its context make sense. No one has yet succeeded in collecting the mineral in the actual dump rocks, even though the other minerals (except caledonite) have all been found in the rocks. |
