Smithsonite (confirmed by XRD) in quartz boxwork with a little pyrite from the dumps of Dartmoor East Mine.
C7W-VTAUvarovite Ca3Cr2(SiO4)3
Upper Bingara, Murchison Co., New South Wales, AustraliaField of View: 12 mm
Tiny crystals of uvarovite from an un-named chromium deposit ( there are several) near Upper Bingara.
LVV-7H3Uvarovite Ca3Cr2(SiO4)3 , Lizardite Mg3(Si2O5)(OH)4
Barraba, Darling Co., New South Wales, AustraliaDimensions: 60 mm x 35 mm x 30 mm
Bright green, slickensided uvarovite on lizardite from one of the several small chromium deposits about 20km NNE of Barraba. Actual deposit name not known. The XRD also showed presence of small amounts of magnesiochromite.
WHT-K6VDolomite CaMg(CO3)2
South Marulan Limestone Quarry, Marulan, Argyle Co., New South Wales, AustraliaDimensions: 100 mm x 80 mm x 40 mm
Originally believed to be ankerite, these crystals are dolomite (confirmed by XRD). Collected on a field trip of the Mineralogical Society of NSW in Nov 1998.

W7H-LYWPyrite FeS2
Mount Stewart Mine, Leadville, Bligh Co., New South Wales, AustraliaDimensions: 68 mm x 50 mm x 35 mm
Largest Crystal Size: 30 mm
This is a survivor from the Mt Stewart Mine which produced lovely large crystal groups of pyrite in the past. Many or perhaps most from here have succumbed to the dreaded "pyrite disease". Largest crystal face is 30mm.
