This mine worked the eastern section of South Roskear main lode, which was opened up along its trend by Duncan's, Hodge, Vivian's, Pendarves and Taylor's shafts. Coordinates given are those of Pendarves Shaft.
From 1821 to 1850, South Roskear Mine produced 27,807 tons of 7.8% copper ore. From 1874 to 1881, it raised another 383 tons of copper ore and 389 tons of black tin. In addition, it produced 35 tons of zinc ore and 655 tons of arsenic.
