400 metres west of the Revenge pit. The mine is located on Delta Island, half-way between Kambalda and the Lefroy Mill, and surrounded by the Lake Lefroy salt-pan. A large number of deposits are accessed on this small island, with some 12 mines virtually next to each other.
The West Revenge open pit is on the eastern limb of the Delta Island Anticline. Gold is found within Kapai Slate and Zone 1 Defiance Dolerite. This is cross cut by felsic to intermediate sills and dykes that predate the gold precipitation.
There are 3 easterly dipping quartz breccia lode structures forming part of a larger series of east dipping structures between the Revenge No1 structure in the east and W44 structure to the west. This series of structures splays off the W66 thrust.
The alteration assemblage is biotite-albite-sulphide within and near to the structures, and associated with quartz veining.
The supergene zone is a continuous sub-horizontal layer at the top of the regolith, extending upwards into the Tertiary sediments, and is controlled by the oxidation of Kapai Slate at the base of the sediments.
