The main Klostein locality is a 6m long by 2-2.5 wide and up to 4 m high cut in the rockface. In addition to this, 140ton ore was produced in the period 1919-1921 from a pit, which is now covered by waste rock boulders. Three additional small prospects can be seen nearby.

The host rock is a gabbro containing several quartz/epidote veins. These veins contains several lenses with massive and/or dissiminated sulphide ore, often associated with chlorite.
