This site contains a small water filled abandoned open pit. It is about 5 kilometres south of the Leonora-Laverton Road, and 10 kilometres west south-west of Malcolm.

The Michelangelo West, Splinter and Blackies prospects are to the south-east, and Krang prospect to the south-west. Minor historic mining at Splinter achieved 0.028 Mt at 3.9 g/t for 0.109 Kg of gold, and is listed as GPS -28.9333, 121.4155. Michelangelo achieved 2.108 Mt at 1.9 g/t yielding 0.948 Kg of gold. GPS -28.9361, 1214178. Blackies as 0.04 Mt at 1.8 g/t yielding 0.72Kg of gold. GPS -28.9314, 121.4072. Krang at 0.457 Mt at 1.9 g/t yielding 1.433 Kg of gold. GPS -28.9258,1214030. No further information could be found about these prospects to a point where anything substantial could be written about them as a separate Mindat listing.

Before the open pit days, Forgotten Four achieved 0.218 Mt at 2.1 g/t yielding 0.458 Kg of gold. No further information could be found about this location either, but has been included due to the modern open pit.

In the immediate area, the gold is hosted by a mixed package of fine grained sediments, and a quartz-dolerite unit. The dolerite is sill-like in nature, fine to medium grained, with extensive chlorite alteration.

The gold is hosted is a series of stacked, irregular, sub-parallel structures, dipping shallowly east. High grade gold is associated with increased quartz-carbonate veining, and varying levels of Fe alteration. The veins are usually stockwork, less than 1 metre wide.
