A Ag-Pb-Zn-Cu-Au mining area located in the center sec. 35, T.14S., R.2E. (protracted) (Quijotoa Mts 15 minute topo map), in the Quijotoa Mountains. Owned by the Julian Merger Mines, Inc.
Mineralization is largely oxidized, irregular, quartz lenses containing spotty sulfides and free gold along shear zones and fractures in Laramide granitic intrusive. Mineralization includes secondary copper minerals.
Workings include numerous prospects and a few mines worked sporadically since the 1880's. probably produced up to 100 tons of ore averaging about 200 oz. Ag/T, 8-9% Pb, 1% Cu and minor gold.
