A mining district located in Burnet and Llano Counties. The main deposit is the Southwestern Graphite Company mine 8 miles WNW of Burnet. Four separate areas in the Burnet and Llano Counties.
Deposit type: Disseminated flake graphite
Graphite flakes are found in some carbon rich layers of the Packsaddle Schist.
