A former baryte mine working on the northern end of "Horngang" the longest mineralized vein of Königsberg district.
According to Geis (1953) who visited the mine in summer 1950 it had four levels. During his visited mining activities were on level II (449 m above sea level) and level III (420 m). Level IV (400 m) was inactive.
The baryte was productive on a length of 400 m and with a thickness of about 1 - 2 m.
Baryte mining activities started in the late 19th century probably on a preceding mercury mine (Herrenpitz Mine). The mine closed in 1951.
