A former underground Ag-Au-Cu-Zn-Pb mine located on a narrow ridge about 2 miles West of Mount Tritle. Owned by Judge Bushnell (1926), Cleveland, OH. Produced 1902-1928.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a tabular ore body. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. No alteration noted.
Country rock is a dense dull greenstone; in places schistose, evidently an amphibolite of the Yavapai schist. The deposit appears to be a fissure vein striking North and dipping E. and can be traced for over 1 mile North of present workings.
Area structures include dikes and veins parallel to foliation in Precambrian rocks that trends N10W to N10E.
Workings a tunnel about 200 feet down from the crest of the ridge on the East side. Production was perhaps $200,000 in Ag (period values).
