A former small underground Cu-Pb-Ag-Au-Zn mine group located on 7 patented claims in 1957, in the NE¼ sec. 20 & sec. 17, T19S, R25E, about ½ mile S of Turquoise Mountain and ½ mile NW of Paradise, on private land. Discovered in 1887 by G.A. Walker. Produced 1887-1896, and 1904-1957. Owned and operated by Mr. William Sanders (1957). Mine operators included the Holmes Copper Co.; Leadville Mining; and, Intermountain Mining.

Mineralization is lenticular and blet ore bodies in metamorphosed Abrigo Limestone near a fault contact with Carboniferous Limestone. Another host rock unit is the Bolsa Quartzite. Alteration is spotty oxidation. An associated rock unit is quartz monzonite. The ore zone is 2.44 meters long and 0.46 meters wide, strikes N45W and dips 60SW. In addition to the above body, a pipe has been worked which is up to 4½ feet diameter and 8 feet high.

Local structures include smaller faults, post-enrichment, are SW to N-S. Contact to the east is with Mississippian Limestones.

Leadville #1 and Leadville #2 are two adjoining shafts.
